The start screen in the mobile application is based on the role the user has in BuildSafe. For higher user permissions there is more information, for lower user roles less. 

The start screen is designed to drive the right behaviour and ensure that deviations are resolved, rounds being conducted and reports (observations and incidents) are handled. 

From the start screen it is also easy to report observations and incidents by tapping on the Report button. 

Project admins & inspectors

As a project admin and inspector it is important to get a clear overview of how the health and safety work is running in your projects. You quickly need to understand what the current situation look like and make sure to act on the right things. 

Deviations to resolve 

  • Assigned to me - deviations that you are in charge of resolving, shows both open and overdue. Ensure that you resolve on time and always strive towards not having any open deviations
  • All deviations - all deviations in your projects. Tap on the box to view the entire list of deviations and use to remind others of resolving their deviations, perfect in morning gatherings before heading out into production

Rounds to conduct 

  • Planned - your scheduled rounds (inspections) for the week 
  • Not conducted - your scheduled rounds (inspections) that haven’t been conducted. Use this to ensure that all rounds are conducted according to plan, hence capturing risks 

Reports to handle 

  • Risk observations - reported risk observations that requires action. Use this to ensure that all reported risks get handled
  • Incidents - reported near misses and accidents that require action. Use this to ensure that all reported incidents get handled


Responsible person & viewer

For you in the role responsible person it is important to act on the deviations that you get assigned, but also to raise risks and incidents that happen on site. 

For you in the role as viewer it is important to quickly get an overview of how the health and safety operations are running as well as being able to see what types of risks are common on your sites. 

Deviations to resolve 

  • Assigned to me - for responsible persons: deviations that you are in charge of resolving, shows both open and overdue. Ensure that you resolve on time and always strive towards not having any open deviations. For viewers: no deviations will be assigned to you
  • All deviations - all deviations in your projects. Tap on the box to view the entire list of deviations and get an overview of the risks on site

Reports to handle 

  • Risk observations - see all reported risk observations, follow your own reports and see how they are being handled 
  • Incidents - see all reported near misses and accidents, follow your own reports and see how they are being handled 


Reporter 

For you as a reporter the focus lies on being able to raise risks and incidents in a quick and easy way. 

Your start screen is designed for: 

  • Overview - get a quick and good overview of how many risk observations and incidents that you have reported. By tapping on any of the boxes you can also follow up on how your reports are being handled 
  • Smoother reporting - by adding the reporting function to the start screen it is now super smooth to report observations and incidents. Tap on Report to start a new observations- or incident report - quick and easy!
